An Introduction
For the most part the last ten years of my life have been spent developing training courses and educational activities for a wide variety of users, from 6 year olds to near death oldsters who have taken it upon themselves to learn how to use a computer. So far I’ve had pretty decent success, but never really shared anything I’ve learned over the years regarding eLearning for both kids and adults.
Apart from being an eLearning, and more so a Flash developer, I’m also a small business owner. Like it or not, when you’re freelancing or in my case, a sole-proprietor LLC you really have no choice but to learn business, management and discipline. Without those extra skills it really doesn’t matter what you do or how well you do it as poor decisions (I’ve had my share) can take you down and force you to turn in a job application at the local generic Web development firm.
My name is Eric Bort, and welcome to the inaugural post on what I hope will become a space for one sided discussion, ideas, innovation and most of all poor grammar and run on sentences. I went to art school and I have a valid excuse for not knowing any better, I’ll at least use a spell checker!
In a nutshell, topics I will cover are:
-
eLearning for Kids
-
eLearning for Adults
-
New Projects & Project Development
-
Small Business Practices
Thanks for reading, and as a primer on the types of work we do feel free to check out the rest of the new site.
